The peas are nearly spent. Perhaps one more meal.
Lesson learned… the higher we string, the higher they’ll grow and the more they’ll produce. Plant them abundantly on the south side of a bed and enjoy until July, when many other greens are ready to fill us up!
Red potatoes were pool-ball sized and abundant today when I picked 2 plants for dinner. No blossoms on top yet, so that dispels that ‘myth’ that they aren’t ready until they blossom.
Red beets definitely did not benefit from the early spring plantings… not much satisfaction there. Also, the grouping of seeds per hole is not the answer. Plant one seed only!
