Closest to house in row planted 1 lb of ‘German Red’ extra large garlic 1-2 inches deep. Behind them we planted 1/2 lb of ‘Silver White’ large garlic. Tilled area where tomatoes had been and spread organic manure and sea weed fertilizer. UPDATE: tiny green shoots poking up due to recent mild fall weather. I sprinkled a lightly scattered layer of crushed limestone. Will soon cover entire bed with 4-6 inches of mulched leaves for the winter.
